February 27 – May 22

This 12-week winter/spring Intensive led by Fred Eppsteiner will provide an opportunity for FCM members who have participated in past Intensives and retreats focusing on emotional healing and transformation to continue their journey of living life with greater clarity, emotional stability, and ease. This Intensive is suitable for members in all Paths of Practice (Mindful Living Path, Dharma Path and Wisdom Path) who would benefit from working at a deeper level under Fred’s mentorship. Fred is personally leading this Intensive in order to help his students (of any experience level) to be free of disturbing emotional reactivity often caused by the wounds of childhood and other life experiences.

In this upcoming Intensive, each participant will personally choose already learned teachings and practices to apply in specific areas of our lives, i.e. where we continue to be driven by emotional reactivity and historical wounds. We will continue to cultivate our mindfulness and deepen our exploration of the themes, patterns/schemas and sources of our emotional suffering. Through our consistent application of the practices and the support of Fred through bi-weekly small mentor groups and tri-weekly Dharma talks to the full participant group, and regular contact with your Dharma buddy, we will continue our journey of healing and transformation, developing greater intelligence, compassion and emotional maturity in relation to ourselves and others.

Commitments for the Intensive

The commitments for this self-directed Intensive are listed below. Before registering for the Intensive please carefully read the commitments and reflect on whether you will be able to keep them.

Study & Practice:

  • Each participant will identify the area(s) they wish to focus on and, in consultation with Fred at their first small group meeting, will develop a concrete plan for this Intensive.
  • Spend a minimum of 30 minutes daily in formal mindfulness meditative practice in addition to any readings and/or other practices.
  • Regularly attend all practice periods of your sangha during the Intensive, as possible

Participate in Assigned Practice Groups:

  • Be present for Fred’s tri-weekly Dharma talks
  • Participate in assigned Mentor Group calls with Fred (bi-weekly via Zoom)
  • Participate in the Dharma Buddies program with other Intensive participants during the Intensive; look for the link to register for Dharma Buddies in the confirmation e-mail you will receive once your Intensive registration is completed.

Again, this Intensive is open to FCM members from all Paths of Practice who have participated past Intensives and retreats focusing on mindfulness practices for healing and transforming emotional afflictions, or with permission of the Intensive Leader, Fred.

Additional information will be sent to participants about a week before the Intensive starts, with instructions from Fred on how to approach developing your personal goals and objectives for this Intensive.

There is a suggested donation of $100 associated with this Intensive. (There is no fee for Supporting and Sustaining FCM members.) This is a suggested donation, and participants are free to donate more or less, depending on their individual practice of Dana and their financial situation. Please note that participation in this Intensive is only open to members of the FCM sangha. For information about membership, please access our website at floridamindfulness.org.
