Community Programs

As a true community, we aspire to bring our practice into all areas of our lives, and to support each other in doing so. Our Community Programs have developed organically based on needs of the community. We welcome you to connect with us in a way that meets your needs. Unless otherwise indicated, programs are open to both members and non-members.

  COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Family Program (for FCM Members and Families)
Every other Sunday from 10:00 am - noon (Sept-May)

The Family Program is committed to fostering mindfulness, understanding and compassion in the lives of our children and their families by providing a safe and mindful environment with activities inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village tradition. The Family Program is generally offered during the school year two Sundays a month during Sunday Sangha for FCM members and their children or grandchildren. Please check the FCM monthly calendar for dates.

KM Group for FCM Members Managing Illness (for FCM Members )
Every other Sunday from 10:00 am - noon (Sept-May)

There are many people, including a number of individuals in our FCM community, who are managing a chronic illness. Dealing with longstanding illness is a particular challenge to one’s practice, and in the same way that people need support from their family and health providers, people need spiritual support as well. To support our members with chronic illnesses, we have created a Kalyana Mitta – spiritual friends group – specifically focused on that issue. The group operates as a special telephone KM group with regular calls. FCM members (logged in) can obtain more information by clicking Read More.

Please check the FCM monthly calendar for dates and times. In the spirit of inter-being and inclusiveness, we honor the diverse spiritual/cultural roots and religious traditions of our teens.
