Our Half Day and Daylong Retreats are an opportunity to deepen one’s meditative experience and support transformation and awakening in one’s life. They include alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation, Dharma talks and other mindfulness meditation practices.

The theme of the teachings in 2021 will be the practice of the Six Paramitas. In Mahayana Buddhism the term Paramita means perfection or that which brings wholeness. Practicing the Six Paramitas (Generosity, Ethical Living, Patience, Joyful Effort, Concentration and Insight) helps us awaken wisdom and compassion in our lives, recognize the goodness that lies within each one of us, and nurtures our aspirations to be of benefit to others. Our February 6 Half Day will focus on the Paramita of Generosity. How do we truly practice Generosity, both inner and outer, in the conduct of our body, speech and mind?

Half Day and Daylong Retreats are appropriate for those new to mindfulness and meditation, as well as for more experienced practitioners. They are open to both FCM members and nonmembers.

Please register to receive the Zoom links and other information for the day. Half Days and Daylong are free, although a donation is appreciated at registration.

If you have any questions please contact Scott Nissensohn at scott.nissensohn@gmail.com.
