An “Open Mic Night” is a joyful opportunity for Sangha members and friends, professional and amateurs alike, to perform and enjoy performance together. June 22 at 7 pm will be an evening of entertainment and artistic expression. Individuals or small groups are welcome to perform music (vocals and/or instrumental), poetry reading, theatrical performance, dance, or any other means of artistic expression. You can even just bring a poem to recite, tell a funny story, or suggest a song to sing as a group. Each performance will be limited to 6 minutes per individual/group. The performances don’t necessarily have to be “spiritual” music, but please choose topics that somehow capture the beauty of the heart and mind, and would be in line with the general spirit of mindfulness, kindness and compassion at FCM.
Potential performers: please send a short email to Rick Ferriss (rickfrrss@earthlink.net) that includes who will be performing and a little about the performance.
Please join us as either a member of the audience or as a performer. There is no charge to attend (or perform), but please register to help us with our planning.
Everyone is invited!
