History and Description: The St. Petersburg Sangha offers participants an opportunity to pause in their busy schedules to join others in mindfulness meditation to support living mindfully. We practice in the engaged Buddhism tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and meet weekly for meditation, mindfulness practice and Buddhist teachings. Our teacher, Fred Eppsteiner, teaches in St. Petersburg once a month at our sangha meetings.
Format: Please arrive about 10 minutes early. Enter the meditation room quietly, remove your shoes, and settle in. At 7:00 p.m., we will practice mindfulness sitting meditation for 30 minutes, walking meditation for 15 minutes, and then listen to a Dharma talk or participate in a Dharma discussion.
