Mindfulness can be understood as a special way of paying attention. We focus our awareness in the present moment, with complete acceptance of our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations, just as they are. Rather than being lost in regrets about the past or worries about the future, we are completely present in this very moment. Through developing this way of paying attention we become more grounded, peaceful, resilient and loving.

Thich Nhat Hanh said, “You cannot have mindfulness without compassion and the practice of compassion always begins with compassion towards oneself.”

Please join us for a morning of practicing the 4 Foundations of Mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition – Stopping, Calming, Resting, Healing. Join us for a morning of developing the mind of relaxation, nourishment and refreshment, not only for ourselves, but for the benefit of others, as well.
