Please join us for this Half Daylong Retreat on December 14, led by Bryan Hindert with a focus on Mindfulness Practices to Nourish and Refresh
Although this time of year has much potential for highlighting positive qualities of our minds such as joy, connection, generosity, good will, love, and compassion, the tendency in our culture can often be to turn our holiday season into a time of stress and difficulty. Please join us for a half day retreat to stop the trend toward negative mind-states, and instead nourish our capacity for being at ease in the present moment - however that moment is manifesting. We will spend the mourning refreshing, renewing, and nourishing our minds by practicing some simple mindfulness practices taught by the Buddha in the Sutra on the Four Establishments of Mindfulness. We will also discuss how to bring these practices into our activities over the holiday season so that we can water seeds of joy in ourselves and those around us in the months to come.

Our half day will involve sitting and walking mindfulness meditation, and a teaching and discussion. Participants are requested to please respect and appreciate noble silence during the duration of the formal activities of the morning.
While this event is free and open to all practitioners, it is necessary to register in advance. Your generosity in providing a donation or Dana for the use of the facility and the support of FCM is gratefully accepted and encouraged, and can be made online or at the door.
