With Fred Eppsteiner and assisted by Bryan Hindert and Dani Hall
Dates: October 5 - December 17 Registration Deadline: September 21 Suitability
Description
This 11-week Dharma Path/Wisdom Path Intensive for this fall continues the yearlong exploration of “The Seven Points of Mind Training,” begun in February. This is the third and final part of the Intensive, “Engaging Life with Wisdom and Compassion: The Study and Practice of Lojong”. Learning to think and act as an altruistic being is the subject of the text.
These mind trainings focus on how an awakening mind can beneficially manifest to give rise to lovingkindness, compassion and understanding in all the activities of our lives. This summer we learned how transforming seemingly adverse situations into the path of awakening is a unique focus of these mind trainings.
This fall, Fred with the assistance of Bryan and Dani, will continue to guide participants in understanding some of the remaining slogans and how to practice them in the context of each participant’s daily life. The required books are the same as Part 1 and 2. Bi-weekly group mentoring video-conference calls on Zoom will provide individual guidance and support. Six Dharma talks will be offered to participants via Zoom and will be recorded. Additionally, the Intensive Dharma Buddy program will be implemented for the Lojong Part 3 Intensive.
