Monthly Music Circle: Sharing Our Voices

  • 20 Jan 2020
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • FCM, 6501 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, FL 33604

Music offers a beautiful way to learn and communicate the Dharma, provides opportunities to share in mindful group practice, and helps to connect us as a community. A monthly gathering to sing and play Dharma-related music will take place on the third Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30 pm at the Tampa Practice Center.  We will learn and sing songs and chants from the Plum Village and other Buddhist traditions, as well as appropriate songs from other religions and secular sources. Word and chord sheets will be available. Please contact Rick Ferriss (rfrrazz@gmail.com) if you have any questions.

The event is open to anyone with a love of music and an interest in the Dharma. No need to register. Drop in once, or plan to come every month!

Please plan to arrive by 6:55 pm. Latecomers will be seated at about 7:10, but doors will be locked after that.

*There will be a short, optional guitar / ukulele workshop after the main program from 8:35 - 9:00 pm. You can bring your instruments if you would like to participate. (acoustic only)

Rick Ferriss has been writing and performing music since the 1970s. He helps provide music for various FCM events and programs, including tea ceremonies, the Family Program, and the Sunday morning Metta Song.
