We aspire to relate to money with integrity, considering everyone’s needs with equal care. By offering this program, FCM meets needs that include generosity, meaning, and receiving important financial support. We also want to meet the needs of people who want to learn mindfulness with us. To make this program as accessible as possible, we’ve created a sliding scale with several payment options. Please contact us if additional financial support is needed for your participation.

The world we live in can greatly benefit from more compassion. To engage in this noble healing effort, we must experience opening our hearts to our own suffering and begin to heal ourselves. Only then we can feel inter-connected with everyone and everything, experience our collective pain, and strengthen our desire to ease and transform all suffering.

Mind-states, called the Four Immesaurables,  which support this aspiration are: loving kindness,  compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity.  These qualities of mind are inter-related and provide a meaningful context for focusing on interbeing and compassion.

The intention for this workshop is to practice cultivating compassion. Guided meditations and facilitated discussions are will stimulate understanding, insights and sharing.

In this workshop we will explore -

  • Discuss the Four Immeasurables
  • Define compassion and compare it to empathy
  • Experience which conditions support or hinder the natural development of compassion
  • Practice opening our hearts by being present, calm and free from the boundaries that separate ourselves from others and the world.
Workshop Leader Nancy Natilson has been  a student of Buddhism and mindfulness for 20 years. She is an active member of the Florida Community of Mindfulness and has facilitated many workshops including Mindful Leadership, Mindful Eating and Mindfulness at Work.
