- Do your thoughts about the past and/or worries about the future prevent you from living fully in the present moment?

 - Would you like to avoid being swept away by difficult emotions and getting caught up in dramas?
- Is your mind often cluttered and confused?

Join us for the second part of a six-week course designed to support the practice of mindfulness, to develop the skills and attention to be fully present to life, and to touch each moment deeply by establishing a consistent daily mindfulness and meditation practice. If you have taken Part 1 or have a foundational understanding and prior experience in the basics of meditation and mindfulness, please register for Part 2. If you are unsure whether Part 2 is appropriate for you, please contact Nancy Natilson, Mindfulness Institute Leader at nnatilson@cs.com.

Objectives

  • Practice mindful meditation, expanding from a focus on the breath and body to a systematic exploration of the awareness of emotions, thoughts, and the mind as a whole.
  • Apply mindfulness to difficult emotions and thoughts to avoid getting caught up in dramas.
  • Cultivate daily meditation and mindfulness practices so that mindfulness becomes an integral part of your daily life.
