The center piece for meditation and discussion on Monday night will be the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings. We will offer a formal recitation ceremony once a month, and on alternate Mondays meditate and explore together how we can act ethically, wisely and with ease in this turbulent world of ours. Leaders: Bill Mac Millen and Marilyn Warlick.

All of our Weekday evening Virtual Meditations are on Zoom, Monday through Thursday from 7:30-8:45 pm. The Zoom link is on our home page. Everyone is welcome.

We are now happy to be welcoming FCM members to participate in-person at our Tampa Practice Center as per the COVID-19 Safety Protocols.  If you are an FCM member and would like to attend in person, please read the protocols below and attend with the promise to adhere to them.  There is no need to register ahead of time.

We are only open in-person for FCM members at this time, but hope to open to family, friends and the general public in the near future. If you are interested in FCM membership you will find information through this link.

If you are an FCM member we hope you will join us in-person and once again enjoy the intimacy and presence of being together face to face as a Sangha!

FCM COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS

(updated 5/14/21)

Following latest CDC Federal guidance, the Florida Community of Mindfulness is no longer requiring masks and social distancing indoors or outdoors for those FCM members fully vaccinated.

We encourage all members to get vaccinated unless medically contraindicated.

If you are not fully vaccinated, the following protocols are still in place as preventive measures as per CDC guidelines:

  1. Hand hygiene(wash hands or use hand sanitizer.)
  2. Observe social (physical) distancing (6 feet distancing or greater) both inside and outside our buildings.
  3. Bring and wear your own mask: All visitors that are not fully vaccinated will wear a mask inside the buildings if 1) there is a possibility of being within 6 feet of another, or 2) they will be engaged in walking mediation or other movements with others present. Visitors working outside the buildings will wear a mask if they will be within 6 feet of another person. If you forget your mask, FCM may have extras and be able to provide one for you.
  4. Please do not come to the Center if you have recently been tested positive for COVID- 19, if you think you may have been recently exposed to someone with COVID-19, or you are currently experiencing any COVID-19 signs or symptoms, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, tiredness, muscle aches, loss of sense of smell or taste; or any signs of sickness.

NOTES for everyone:

At this time we are only accepting FCM members into the meditation hall for events. We hope to open up to families, friends and newcomers in the near future.

We ask that everyone, even those fully vaccinated continue to practice hand hygiene measures. Please help us to keep surfaces clean through hand hygiene and by helping to clean all common areas surfaces (doorknobs, toilets, faucets, sinks, teamaker, cups etc.).
