Summer Live Concert #2 of 3 with Rick Ferriss
Rick Ferriss has been writing and performing since the late 60s, mostly in the Tampa area. Music projects have included 70s north Tampa folk bands Whispering Palm Trees and Hot Cakes, a 90s duo with violinist Richard Leps, a Y2K Christmas song project, bass backup for Charlie Groth and others, facilitation of a long-standing north Tampa jam, and most recently, R.E.D., a trio with Ellie Schwartz and Dennis Devine. During the covid year, he concentrated on recording solo videos for an eclectic assortment of originals and covers (Stephen Foster to Muddy Waters to Neil Young & beyond).
Rick has been involved with Buddhist music for many years, and has helped provide music for various FCM activities. The July 9 concert will have a Buddhist theme: songs about the Dharma and related topics. Mostly originals; a few sing-alongs.
