A Five-Day Online Wisdom Path Retreat for FCM Members

Tuesday, October 20, 7:00 PM

through

Sunday, October 25, 12:00 PM

Since the time of the Buddha, countless teachers have pointed out the innate simplicity and spontaneous wisdom of our true mind. Unfettered by conditioning and emotional reactivity, this mind has the capacity to guide and support us naturally in living an awakened life. Utilizing the pith direct teachings of Gyaltsap Rinpoche (1871-1926), a modern master of the  Great Perfection tradition, Fred will guide participants into the world of the Buddha Mind and show how to integrate this understanding into daily life.

This retreat is appropriate for those FCM members who have previously participated in a Wisdom Path Intensive or retreat, or for those who are walking the Dharma Path and feel ready for a deeper exploration of the nature of mind through meditation.  For more information on our Three Paths of Practice (Mindful Living, Dharma and Wisdom Paths) see the FCM website

The retreat registration fee is $125. The fee covers administrative, facility and incidental expenses connected to the retreat, but does not include any offerings to the teacher. Participants will have an opportunity to make an offering for the teachings at the conclusion of the retreat. A limited number of Retreat Scholarships are available. Please click here to see FCMs Retreat Scholarship Policy and for an Application, which needs to be submitted prior to the registration deadline for this retreat.

The retreat begins on Tuesday evening, October 20 at 7:00 pm and ends on Sunday, October 25 at noon.  We ask that participants plan to participate in the entire retreat, and to do so with the same energy of commitment and dedication as one would bring to an in-person residential retreat. We will be sending you a retreat schedule to follow and practice guidelines to help you create conditions in your home to support your retreat.

The retreat will include 3-4 Practice Sessions for meditation daily, Dharma talks and instruction, meetings with Fred, and group sharing, along with "off line" time for meals & rest, outdoor walking, personal practice, and time to take care of essential household tasks and responsibilities. If you cannot be fully present for all of the days of the retreat, within the flexibility of the schedule as described above, please do not register.

The last day to register for the retreat is October 3rd.

Please note that your registration does not guarantee acceptance into the retreat. Once registration has closed, all who registered will be considered for acceptance into the retreat. You will be notified if you have been accepted into the retreat within a few days of the closing of registration.

The retreat registrar will be sending additional information to accepted registrants before the retreat including daily schedules, Zoom instructions and suggestions to help prepare you for a meaningful retreat experience from your home.
