Beginning the week of September 7th, Fred will offer a four-week class to FCM members on The Thirty-Seven Practices of Bodhisattvasa classic and much-loved practice text composed by the fourteenth century Tibetan master, Gyelsay Togmay Sangpo. In these simple and direct verses, the essence of living an awakened life is presented and the path of selflessness, compassion, and wisdom becomes doable. Learning how to transform all situations into opportunities to energize our spiritual aspirations, this text is a manual for living a heroically altruistic journey in the midst of everyday life.

The class will meet twice weekly, Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 pm for four weeks. During each class, Fred will be providing direct commentary on the verses to help participants understand and integrate what is being read. There will also be an open forum each week on Saturday morning from 8-9 am which is recommended but not required, and will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions about the text and practices recommended within it.

The only required reading will be The Thirty-Seven Practices of Bodhisattvas text, which will be provided to participants. There are several commentaries of the text to be found online, as well as several excellent ones to purchase. Fred suggests that you take a look at the text before registering, so you will have an idea of the subject matter. Fee for this four-week class is $40 and teacher Dana is at the discretion of each student.

Registration closes on September 1.
