All of us yearn to be happy and to have a sense of well-being and ease in our lives. We search for the things that we think will make us happy; we even learn spiritual teachings and practices! Yet, over and over again we get blindsided and sabotaged by our historical afflictive emotional patterns and dysfunctional habits.  How can we learn to transform the seeds of suffering within us?

This Half-day Retreat will include meditation, guided reflection, Dharma talk and discussion. We will explore the introductory principles of the Yogacarin school of Buddhist psychology, a model often taught by Thich Nhat Hanh and expounded by FCM Dharma teacher, Fred Eppsteiner. These teachings provide us a tangible map-of-practice for transforming the seeds of suffering into understanding, compassion, and a mind of well-being.

This retreat will be conducted entirely via Zoom due to the continuing health concerns of the COVID-19 outbreak. Zoom instructions will be emailed to all participants.

This event is open to all practitioners but it is necessary to register in advance to help with our planning. We offer several registration options that permit an online donation. However, please understand that you do not need to make an online donation to register; we welcome any support you may wish to offer to support our community. Your generosity in providing a donation or Dana for the support of our teacher and practice center is greatly appreciated.
