Mindful Yoga

A 60-minute, gentle, mindfulness-based yoga class appropriate for all levels. No previous yoga or meditation experience is required. In class, participants are encouraged to: 

  • Practice mindful awareness of the breath and the body together 
  • Develop an awareness of body sensations and the alignment of the body 
  • Utilize yoga props (provided) to encourage an acceptance of bodily limitations and conditions 
  • Stay present in the practice without judgement of self or others 

Each class includes:

  • 5-10 minute meditation at the beginning to become grounded, aware and mindful in the present moment 
  • may include guided breath work (pranayama) 
  • posture sequences that may include floor, seated, and/or standing poses which can be modified for all levels 
  • 5-10 minutes in final relaxation pose at the end to surrender, relax, and restore

This class is taught by FCM community member and yoga teacher Becky Brown. Becky has taught yoga since 2007.


Classes are offered freely for members of FCM & former FCM MBSR students. A $10 fee is requested from non-members to help support FCM and the space offered. No registration is required.
