Location: Green Monkey Yoga Studio, Peacock Court, 6200 Trail Blvd., Naples, Florida 34108. Peacock Court is across U.S. 41 from Barnes & Noble. Wheelchair access is available.
History and Description: The Naples Sangha is a nonsectarian Buddhist meditation and study group that began in 1998 in the living room of our founder and teacher, Fred Eppsteiner. Fred currently offers teaching one weekend a month in Naples (please check the calendar for specific dates). Senior practitioners teach and lead discussions related to the current Path of Awakening on alternate nights.
Format: Please arrive about 15 minutes early. Enter the meditation room quietly, remove your shoes, and settle in. At 6:30 p.m. we practice mindfulness sitting meditation for 30 minutes, walking meditation for 15 minutes, sitting/loving-kindness meditation for another 20 minutes, then listen to a Dharma talk or participate in a Dharma discussion.
Day and Time: Once a month on Thursday evening, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. There is no cost but registration is required. For more information, please inquire at the Naples Sangha on Sunday evenings.
