Naples Sangha

Day and Time: Every Sunday evening, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Monthly Orientation: A one-hour introductory class for newcomers is available the last Sunday of each month at 4:45 p.m.

Location: Bala Vinyasa Yoga Studio, Peacock Court, 6200 Trail Blvd., Naples, Florida 34108. Peacock Court is across U.S. 41 from Barnes & Noble. Wheelchair access is available.

History and Description: The Naples Sangha is a nonsectarian Buddhist meditation and study group that began in 1998 in the living room of our founder and teacher, Fred Eppsteiner. Fred currently offers teaching one weekend a month in Naples (typically the second weekend of the month, but please check the calendar for specific dates).

Format: Please arrive about 15 minutes early. Enter the meditation room quietly, remove your shoes, and settle in. At 6:30 p.m. we practice mindfulness sitting meditation for 30 minutes, walking meditation for 15 minutes, sitting/loving-kindness meditation for another 20 minutes, then listen to a Dharma talk or participate in a Dharma discussion.

Contact: naples-updates@floridamindfulness.org. If you are traveling to the Naples area for a sangha meeting or day of mindfulness and wish to arrange a carpool, please contact Martina at mmcnaboe@gmail.com.
