The Mindful Teen Half Day Retreat is an opportunity to deepen one's own personal practice and nurture a sense of community, belonging and shared experience.
It involves sitting and walking mindfulness meditation, guided body scan meditation, mindful yoga, a short teaching on a specific mindfulness topic by one of the facilitators, opportunities for questions and answers as well as some small group discussion, communal lunch and some personal integration time.
For your own benefit and the benefit of all attending, we ask that you plan to remain for the entire duration of the event.
This event is free and open to all teens that have attended at least one monthly teen meeting. Teens who did not have an opportunity to join our monthly meetings but have some experience with mindfulness meditation are also welcome to register after a short conversation with one of the facilitators (so as to maximize the possibilities of an enriching experience for all involved). Please contact Stephanie Bachmann Mattei teen-program-coordinator@floridamindfulness.org
Please register for the Mindful Teen Half Day Retreat in advance. If this is your first time visiting the Mindful Teen group this school year, it will be necessary to have the Mindful Teen Program Registration Form signed by a parent or legal guardian when you arrive. Please download the Mindful Teen Program Registration Form. Bring signed paperwork with you or plan for your parent or guardian to fill it out when you arrive.
This event is free, however your generosity in providing a donation for the support of this program and our FCM Center is gratefully accepted and encouraged.
